Cookies Policy

The name of the cookie refers to a small set of data that has been downloaded and may be stored on your device, e.g. on your computer (or other devices that support an internet connection, such as a smartphone or tablet). The cookie allows the site to "remember" your actions when you browse it. Each cookie is unique to your browser and contains some anonymous information. A cookie typically contains the name of the cookie field, the cookie's 'permanent life', and a value (usually in the form of a randomly generated unique number). Although the majority of browsers support cookies, the user can set their browser to not accept cookies or to delete them afterwards.

Utility of cookies

Cookies perform different functions (for example, they distinguish you from other visitors to the same site or remember certain things for you as your preferences) and are used by most websites to improve your experience as a user or to measure site’s traffic in aggregate or specific pages only. Indicatively, they can record the number of visitors live or per hour of the day, their geographic origin, the operating system and their computer screen resolution, the page from which they came (via a search engine, a link from another page or directly input), the keyword used in the search engine, etc. Other cookies can remember, in order to facilitate the user, the chosen language or search results on a site. Others can record failed attempts to enter the user on a site to require (after a certain number of unsuccessful attempts to enter) the further cross-checking of their data, such as by entering an additional code that is sent via SMS to its mobile phone.
